A comment
I was looking at someone's blog and he had rave reviews about this movie called "The Kingdom". Say until that movie machiam legendary, got dragon got tiger, got moral, got meaning, got good plot. I'm not commenting there as I dont want to upset them nor anybody. But, I can't keep my comments to myself as I feel their "ravings" are not accurate. I'll comment in my personal space.
I had personally watch the show 1 week before it opened. The first comment I told my peers after the show is I don't like it. I felt that show is damn biased towards the ang moh. The show makes it seem that everything the ang moh do are always right, the ang moh are superior, eg, ang moh never die, never get shot, never get injured, but 1 ang moh punch at an asian giant is enough to knock him down. What is this? Damn biased lah...
The show is about a bunch of ang mohs illegally enter another country to "punish" some terrorist which is actually revenge for their countryman and colleague who got killed in a terror attack. But, why didn't the ang moh reflect on the reason behind the attack? They went to set up their own " fenced kingdom" in other peoples' country under the guise of security, but in fact, they're digging for oil in the host's land. Like that do, everyone also will dulan one what. Yes, the terror attack is wrong, but what justifies the ang moh's revenge mission? You don't fix a wrong with another wrong.
Come on, the show is not really so very nice, dont need to write until its so good, as if legendary. It is just an average, biased, propaganda show.
