March Blog with Pics!
Its been a month since i last blogged here. sorry guys. been busy with school stuff. The quizes seem never ending and the reports come in one by one. SO busy.
had collected some pics to post but couldn't find the time to post until now. You won't be disappointed!
so here's the pics. first up will be my fishes at home!
here's an overview of their community tank where everyone lives together. It is 3Feet long and 1.5 Feet by 1.5 feet at the side.
these are synodontis catfishes and they're believed to be man-made hybrids from central europe. Fish Scientist are calling them Synodontis "zebrinus" for now. They are really big eaters and will clear the tank floor clean from any food debris. There's 5 of them in the tank now and I guess I have to give up some as they grow bigger everyday.
I've got 2 of these Synodontis decorus, their common name is the clown syno. They are always hiding in their creeks and appears during feeding time, very tame fish. I got to fish one out from its hiding place and place it in a photo taking tank for this pic.
This is a Spotted Talking Catfish, its a cousin of the common talking catfish. Eats alot but grows slowly... looks cool eh, with spikes and armour on its body. A shy fish whom hides in daylight and is active in the dark. But, as all catfishes are greedy, the 3 of them always appear when food sinks in the tank.
Back to the main occupants of the tank, Cichlids!
Rainbow cichlids, looks better when they are breeding.
The Alpha male of the Convict colony in the tank. Its a pink male
The Convict pair I brought home from hall. Their kids are growing up happily back in hall.
2nd Boss of the tank, a golden Severum, Heros Severus. Bossy fish and agressive but still tolerates its tankmates as long as it gets its space and food.
Another smaller golden Severum, should be a female and I hope to pair it up with the bigger Severum. Cute?
The Cuties of the tank, Piglets!
The Alpha male of the piglets and the Boss of the tank! Look at its big fat round belly!
The Queen of the tank, 1st wife.
The smallest Piglet of the 3. Although small, but still quite a big eater!
Although he is the King, he still loves to act cute, cute huh? :D
The oldest resident of my tank, Synodontis eupterus. A featherfin syno catfish.
Who said only the king can act cute, the Old fish also capable!
Well, that's all for the fishes in my home tank.
Here's some pics I collected over the past month with B.O.B.
