Dave Fisherman's Rubbish Bin

I was supposed to meet Ms. Joyes for dinner last nite. She was held up at work, and I'm left to spend sometime alone. Visited HMV at Citylink to browse around. After browsing through the shelves once, I've found so many things that I wanted. (hmm...) Too bad, I can't afford them all, but I WANT THEM ALL! So, for the convinence of Santa (or nice people out there), I decided to walk through a second round and take some pics. With my pics and introduction, think I've helped Santa decide what to get for me this X'mas. So thoughtful of me, right? Minus one headache off him! What makes me even more thoughtful was that, I've even make sure the prices are shown clearly in my pics. This helps him to be double sure of which to get for me. (hahaha...) Thanks in advance!

Item 01) The Adventures of TinTin DVD, (S$94.95)
I'm no big fan of TinTin. But, TinTin coloured comics are what I read when I was much younger. Another reason I like this is because, the box looks so cool!

Item 02) Stevie Wonder Greatest Hits CD, (S$18.95)
Don't you just love his songs?

Item 03) The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds CD (S$18.95)
Oh My God, this is a classic. One of the best Beach Boys CD around, not to be missed by any Beach Boys lovers out there!

Item 04) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory VCD (S$14.95)
Ya, I know, you must had "duh..." Yes, I missed the movie in cinemas. And I guess this is the next best I can get. I've chosen the VCD because its more economical for Santa. But, please check with me if you want to get me this, as I might just buy it myself soon.

Ms Joyes came soon after. Went to FIN @ Marina square for dinner. She had Seafood spaghetti while I had Squid Ink Linguine. I thought her spaghetti was so so lor... The spaghetti tasted like common yellow noodles with tomatoes, but I should say their seafood was fresh. My Squid Ink Linguine was BLACK! The linguine looks painted with black poster colour. It was just the Black inked linguine with some fried calamari on top. It sounds simple, but the linguini was super delicious, even Ms Joyes thought so. We were so hungry that I forgot to take any pics. After eating, my lips and mouth were all black. (My poo poo this morning also super black!) Fun and unique thing to eat, a must try!

After dinner, we went over to Hagen Daaz at Esplanade for Fondue! Both of us were quite full, so we shared a 1 person serving Fondue. There's 12 small fishball shaped ice cream, some cut green apples, strawberries and banana and of course the chocolate sauce in the middle. The ice cream served was Dark chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry and Coffee. My Favourite was Coffee, and least liked was the strawberry ice cream. Somehow, Ms Joyes felt totally opposite of me. She liked the strawberry ice cream and thought Coffee was bitter. (hmm...) Half way through, Ms Joyes reminded me to take picture. So here's one by her request.

After the ice cream, we ate the fruits. Banana was the best, it really complements the chocolate sauce well. (Soft, smooth, sweet. ) The strawberries tasted ok, but it was sour. The green apple was worst! It clash with the chocolate sauce and spoils the taste. When having fondue, you're expecting soft and sweet stuff in your mouth, not sour and cruchy chucks of green apples. Eeeww!! Remember to strike green apples off when you order fondue next time.

Here's a convict which I had spawned myself. His father is a stripped convict like him, while his mom is a pink convict. He is the only one still with me now, I've traded the rest of his siblings to a fish farmer in Pasir Ris. I kept him because of his "special feature" Did you notice his dorsal fins starts further away from his forehead, this makes him looks like he is suffering from receeding hairline. This poor thing had been trying very hard to mate with the only female convict in the tank, but, she's just not interested. Boo! boo! to receeding hairline!


So who's the prince charming of the female convict in my tank? This guy above is her date for now. Pinkish, pearl coloured, with a high forhead and long flowing fins... Every convict's dream... The idol of convicts world.


Here's the new king of my tank now. He used to be number 2 when my bigger severum was around. After I sold off Severum01, this guy snatched over the throne in the tank within a week. He's the boss around! Eats first, got his own corner nearest to the filter with the best water flow, chases everyone around when he's unhappy, keeps the longest fins in the tank, loves to pose around, vain pot! 2 more pics below...

My final paper's a disaster... lets not talk about it.

Exams are over. Did somethings over the past week...

Visited the Toofdoctors last friday for their official opening. They've got a real cool setup and everything. Took some pics, but too bad my memory stick is stuck somewhere, so I can't upload those cool pics. Will upload them and do a writeup on the toofdoctors as soon as I get my memmory stick back.

Worked at sitex, selling lappies for twinhead, sales wasn't good, as expected, there to gain some sales experience and people watch. Lost my memory stick, but I still need to take pics and listen to music, so I bought a 512MB memory stick from SanDisk at S$83 from Sitex. (is this price ok?) It's a neon green one.

Did a massive water change for my fishies. They had their water change overdue for 2 weeks, so sorry to them. A cake of dirt had formed over their filter sponge. Disgusting shitty stuff, too bad didn't take pics. Feeling so guilty to had neglected them due to my exams. tsk tsk... forget it... Luckily, nothing fatal happened, just some minor fin rots, but they're recovering well. (from my last check)

What should I do after a good water change? Take pictures of them! Here's some pics of my darlings!

Today, finished my final 2nd paper - hydraulics. Can't do as well as I expect. Disappointed with my performance this semester.

Was damn hungry after the paper, whole morning only ate 2 "chai tau kway", carrot cake, scared eat too much, later lau sai and all my stored memories flow out together, den die liao...

Went to simei for some turkish food with JS. I've planned to whack their turkish laksa. (Ya, turkish flavoured laksa!) The Laksa there was "orgasmics". Thick fragrant gravy with generous serving of chopped roast chicken and juicy, crispy beansprout. Spicy, salty, juicy, sweet... all together. Wah lau, eat liao... the sweat trickle down ur cheeks... freaking song ah! Here's a picture of what I had. Make all of you lau nua...

Oh, forgot to tell you what JS had. He had a Kebab Donner... Basically, chopped juicy roast chicken from kebab. Wrapped in crispy veges and 2 thin piece of roti. Like a big burger. Inside got mayo, Chilli sauce and alot alot alot of roast chicken... (at least 2 drumsticks lor.)

Both dishes for $7 only. $3 for my laksa, $4 for his kebab. End up with 2 happy man! Song!

Here's another pic to make your nua flood your room... Mee Soto from FC2 of Singapore Poly. The mee soto there is the most powerful around! The soup is so rich that it'll put some mee rebus (yes, the thick gravy mee rebus) to shame. Then, the shredded chicken overflows your bowl. The chilli served is burning hot, half a teaspoon is enough to make sweat burst out all over your face. Add another mash potatoe ball for 50cents. Your mouth will be burning from the spice and chilli and your stomach will be filled to the brim... all for $2.50

Last nite, notice my convict pair was behaving unusually agressive, and I knew they're up to some hanky panky ideas again. This morning, ta da~!!






They're agressively defending their eggs. Their eggs are splattered all around the little pebbles and the tank floor. hmm... must had been a "quickie" and they're left with a mess. Any tankmates whom tries comming near their "nest" were angrily chased off. (oh, the small black striped fish with pinkish belly is the wife, while the bigger white one is the husband. )

I'm not planning to keep the eggs as I'm going out of town soon. No choice got to "jail" the couple for their poor family planning, for their indecent making out in the "public" (center of my tank!), for the safety of my other fishes and of course to keep the cleaniness of my water. So, after 5 minutes of chasing...



They're jailed for half a day! and in the meantime...



Buffet time! Why waste the eggs? They're full of nutrients and proteins! Great for little growing fishes! Don't worry guys, those eggs had not started wriggling yet, which means, the eggs are still lifeless.

There's 4 of them in this group and they're all F cup. Couple of them looked fat. They're not dancing nor singing nor whatever. Just out there for you to drool and fantasize. Sounds bimbotic, yeah, they looked rather bimbotic. What to do? JS likes them, so, here's for him.

Recently, Man utd had been in the news. Maybe some of you guys don't know, I'm a Manchester United Fan. I've been a fan since the Eric Cantona years of early 1990's. To prove it, I've upload a picture of their logo. This picture is taken of my one and only Manchester United jersy. The one with "Theatre of Dreams" written over the belly button. The jersy when Man U's still sponsored by Umbro. Quite sad that I can't fit into that jersy now(it's S size!) .

Their recent form broke many fan's heart, including mine. I'm not gonna shoot them down because of their recent poor form, nor am I gonna be overly happily just because they beat Chelsea 1-0. I'll just watch them from behind the black box and support them here, no matter what happened.

I'm selected to fly to taipei for my industrial attachment.
A lot are still unknown now, hope everything goes through smoothly.

Will be in taipei for around 6 months. Which also means I'll be spending my chinese new year over at taipei. Wonder how will it be.

11 November again. 2 years had past, We still miss you badly. Many questions still left unanswered from your sudden departure, and I guess will never be answered. Although tears don't flow as easily now, my heart still aches everytime I thought of you.

Been busy revising.
