Tues nite, was surfing the net and chatting on msn when my laptop suddenly shuts down...
I tried to restart it and only the cooling fan works, the rest not responding...

No respond after 2000000 tries! Laptop is DEAD!!

SIAN... -> Depression sets in... how to survive the nights without my laptop!

Wed morning found the fujitsu service center near my office. Send it in for servicing after work... and the service people told me that it looks like my motherboard is damaged and its gonna cost a bomb to fix and will take another 2 weeks for the parts to be flown in... But they cant confirm anything until the fujitsu engineer comes in on thurs morning to see it... haiz... deeper depressed.... Beginning of long lonely nites... how to survive?

Go back to hostel, called home and tell them I wont be online at nite for another 2 weeks... and camped myself in front of the TV. luckily they're replaying the AC vs Barca match. Watched the full match, nice, exciting game... Kaka and Ronaldinho rocks! heng ah! its already midnight after the match... ok la, time to sleep... tmw nite's boredom will be dealt with tmw...

Thurs morning (today)... fujitsu engineer called at 9+, (wow! they're very effective!) told me one of my RAM slot is spoilt and if I wan it to be repaired, I got to change the entire motherboard and they'll get me a quotation from singapore. It'll cost at least NT$10K (S$500) and takes at least 2 weeks for the replacement. In the mean time, I can use the laptop with 1 RAM plug out.

Ok lor, I ask for my laptop back and let them get me a quotation...
After work, went to collect my laptop, met the friendly (and cute) engineer, she commented its not worth to change the motherboard, just hang on with the 1 RAM slot left and wait to buy a new one when I save enough... hmm... she makes sense! So I shall survive with 256Mb less RAM!

Now, I realised how reliant I am on the internet and my laptop... Really too reliant on them. If one day the computers were to take over this world, I'm one of the first victims they'll claim... SHIT!

Just now during dinner in the canteen, TV news reported that a sandstorm from northen china had hit taipei. reporting away on the poor visibility and health problem... I was sitting in front of the TV eating and thinking... hanah! hanah! where got so serious, I whole day in office also didnt hear anyone complain...

Then I came back into my room, and the floor feels sandy... I put my things on my desk, and the table feels sandy too... hmm? so serious meh? I asked my taiwanese roomie... He said, nothing la, just an indication we got to clean our room!

ok lor, since my lady luck treat me so good today, I shall do some good by cleaning up my space... Seems like the sandstorm is real man! my cleaning water was brownish after cleaning. My usual cleaning water is grey or black, but this time it is Reddish Brown with alot of sandy residue!

The sandstorm is indeed here! The desert is expending! Makes me guilty that I had not been doing much in my part for environmental preservation. Global warming and all sorts of environment problem is causing the desert in mainland china to expand and cause such serious sandstorm! ok ok! shall cut down on green house gases release starting from now!
