Taiwan Straits

Last Saturdaywas rainy, so our hiking trip was cut short. But the rain jus stopped when we reach Danshui MRT, preparing to return to hostel.
We decided that such a trip shouldn't be waste and took the boat across DanShui river to the town opposite, Bali, 八里.

As it was a wet morning, most of the shops in Bali was closed and there's nothing interesting to take photos. Most of Bali are cycling tracks and mangrove rainforest.

After walking for about 2 hours towards the rivermouth of Dan shui, we came to the left bank of Dan Shui river mouth. On my right is the Dan Shui river mouth and on my left is the open sea of Taiwan Straits. The view of Taiwan Straits is spectacular.

Dan Shui town from opposite bank.

Fisherman's Wharf and Valentine's bridge from opposite bank. (The black patch is a sand bar created to prevent flooding and its visible at low tide now)

The spectacular Taiwan Straits from the river mouth of Dan Shui river.

Took out my MP3 player and played the song, 大海 by 张雨生.

Standing on the breakwater in admiration of Taiwan sea. Beautiful...

Wonder how beautiful it will be on the east coast of Taiwan? The beach facing the Pacific Ocean... I'll be there!
