Remember Ray Kit?
Today took a longer route to work by bus. My bus traveled pass Dover estate. To my horror, the old Dover estate was torn down and in its place, taller HDB are being erected...
Dover estate gone = Ray Kit is GONE!
Ray Kit, if you remember, was our source of ciggys, our source of entertainment for 3 hour breaks, our source of fried carrot cake... I remember those days spent there with Desibaba, charlie chin, Babu singh, spritzer, JSPN, KBs, Xufei, JJ Paul, yusof, SheLA. How carefree, how fun...
I wonder how is that kopi uncle doing now...

Long Live Raykit!! Damn sad.. :(
I miss the fried rice with the liquidy sunny-side up eggy after our friday evening workout (to prepare ourselves for the coming NS then..).. I remember we played soccer, jogged around the SP stadium near the guild house, played basketball, badminton, etc. Then we would "cheong" Buona! (only the East-siders know what it means)
Carefree days indeed. Remember the SP slogan? "Experience the SP lifestyle." Our SP Lifestyle = taking afternoon naps in lectures, pontang lectures for pool or LAN gaming at RC, lunch at ray kit and smoke at its nearby playground, tour around Singapore to hunt for LFS, yang yu ju le bu, walking past the smoke-chamber bus stop at the entrance of SP everyday.. All these.. and still Ace our exams to make it to University.
Gone were the days but they'll live forever in our memories. Long live SP!
